Eric has been serving in the U.S. Army since 2011. Deploying to Afghanistan in 2012-2013, and again in 2014. He became a certified TX Firefighter in 2015, and has made that an additional career field since 2016, working in North Houston, Harris county, and in Waller County.

Chelsey, originally born in Ohio, became a Registered Nurse in 2012, working in Ohio, and Florida before deciding to become a travel nurse, working across multiple states before planting her routes in Texas, in 2018. She received her DNP from Baylor College of Medicine December of 2024, and has been working as a CRNA since April of 2025.

Eric and Chelsey met in January of 2018 and were engaged September of the same year, marrying in November, 2019. They purchased their land in October of 2020, and have been working towards their goal of having a self sufficient supply of foods, and helping to provide their communities with the same.
